The absence or poor quality of food packaging is one of the main reasons why food products made in Cameroon are not easily competitive with imported products. The lack of packaging services and the shortage of qualified human resources are the main constraints identified in the poor packaging of food products. The direct consequence of these constraints is the decline in the economic competitiveness of agri-food SMEs.

The packaging service not only assumes the availability of packaging in the local market, but also and especially the know-how on the use of these packaging during the packaging of food products.

To cope with this difficulty, the SPAASME Program initiated a training session for SMEs / POs in the Center’s Production Basin in packaging and labeling techniques. This five-day training course at Campack’s headquarters enabled participants to significantly fill their gaps in the customization of packaging by sectors, the use of barcodes and sealing, dating and printing equipment. overpack.
